Meet Dr. Khurram Kureishy – Ophthalmologist

Dr. Khurram Kureishy is a highly skilled ophthalmologist with a deep commitment to patient care and excellence in eye health. He completed his medical education and training at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), and served as Chief Resident during his Ophthalmology Residency. Dr. Kureishy also holds a Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Dr. Kureishy’s interest in ophthalmology was sparked during his time as a medical student, where he was fascinated by the detailed view of the eye’s anatomy and the ability to treat a variety of eye diseases both medically and surgically. His meticulous attention to detail and dedication to patient care set him apart from other eye doctors. He takes the time to ensure each patient receives a thorough exam, understands their eye health, and feels confident in their treatment plan.

Fluent in Urdu and medical Spanish, Dr. Kureishy is adept at communicating with a diverse patient population. He finds particular fulfillment in helping patients who may not realize how much their vision has been affected by conditions like cataracts or droopy eyelids until after surgery, when they experience significant improvements in their sight.

Originally from Michigan, Dr. Kureishy spent his early years in central Illinois before moving to McKinney, Texas, where he was raised. His journey in medicine took him to Lubbock, Texas, where he completed his medical training and residency. Today, Dr. Kureishy resides in McKinney with his wife, a clinical mental health counselor, and their beloved cat. He is passionate about making lattes and practicing latte art, staying up-to-date with the latest technology, and traveling abroad to explore new cultures and countries.
